How does the verification email work?

Why is a verification email sent and what does it do?

x2VOL is a tracking and reporting platform in K-12 education where students record service and work-based learning hours. When they fill out their digital form to claim their hours, they have to enter a Verification Name and Email Address. This should be the 3rd party supervisor that would be able to sign off on the hours they are claiming. After they submit the entry, an email is sent to the email address they enter.

The email comes from x2VOL from: student-verification-noreply@x2VOL.com

The verifier receives the email immediately and can click on the button within the email which will bring them to new tab in their browser with details of the student's claim.

The email will look like this:

The verifier can review the details and verify the hours and enter a comment. Verifying a student’s hours means you are confirming they did serve or work the hours they are claiming.
